Gourmet Kitchen

Our fine crystal and china will enhance a catered dinner or prepare your own in our fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with all new appliances and casual ware. A picture window looks out on the sunrise to give your morning a cheery start. Coffee, tea and cocoa are available and if you would like us to stock the refrigerator for your arrival just make the request. Our laundry room is conveniently located right off the kitchen and boasts a new washer/dryer with supplies.

A great breakfast bar area has captain’s chair-stools that swivel to enjoy conversation in the kitchen, the satellite TV, the crackling gas log fireplace of the den or the view of the valley below.

Our Favorite Family Room

This den, adjoining the kitchen, is where you and your family will spend most of your time. You can experience outdoor living by opening the sliding glass door to the canopied deck area with outdoor furniture and easily take meals out there. A gas grill is right around the corner on the outdoor patio, so the whole family can join in the meal making fun of being together. A large screen, HDTV as well as high-speed internet (DSL) wireless or wired hookup  makes this the gathering place. The TV has a separate satellite receiver from the Master Bedroom along with a DVD/VCR player for your movies or ours. The Palm bedroom downstairs has a VCR dedicated TV with a video Game Cube for kids.

Cozy Gas Log Fireplaces

This gas log fireplace in the den is one of two that you will enjoy. It will take the edge off a crispy fall night or add warmth in the winter. Gas logs are turned on Oct. 1-May 1. Enjoy the ambiance.

Outdoor Dining off the Den

This is where you’ll want to spend the cool summer evenings and nights. You are just a screen door away from family who wants to stay inside to watch TV and outside lights extend daytime into the evening hours. A gas grill is right around the corner on the side patio for you outdoor cooks. The flat patio yard is a fun place for kids to play or your dog to sniff the country air. A short walk away is the fire pit with lots of wood under cover (firestarter, too). Or make it a family hunt and find for dead sticks in the woods to get that fire going. Your hosts will set it up if you run out of daylight, just let us know.

Buffet/Bar for Your Spread!

This mirror-backed, granite buffet/bar leads from the kitchen to the dining room…a perfect place to set up for an indoor picnic or for company. A punch bowl, 30 cup coffee pot, blender and extra silverware are in the cabinet below if you have a crowd. Stemware in every shape and size is available for a pleasurable happy hour.
